Sitio Remedios

Jay and I along with our friends went to Sitio Remedios in Currimao, Ilocos Norte.  The place is so incredibly picturesque and while there, you get the feeling that the heritage village in which you’re staying is the only thing that exists in the entire world.  It’s a Balinese villa and a luxe bahay kubo rolled into one – with all Ilocano materials used for the beddings, towels, decor… it was modestly gorgeous and we highly recommend it to everyone out there looking for a place to clear your head, enjoy lots of space, good food, but with the accessibility of the beach.

And to all couples out there looking for a unique destination wedding locale – this is it!  Not quite as far as Pagudpud, but still about an 8 hour drive from Manila (so worth it!) and close to Laoag airport.  If you fill the 6 villas (which can hold roughly 25-30 people comfortably), it’s only about P50,000++ for accommodations (dinner included)!  They have an onsite church (seats around 30-35) and seriously, if Jay and I could just invite 30 of our closest friends and family, you can bet that we would’ve chosen Sitio Remedios as our spot!

 Nice, right?

  1. Congratulations in a taking a leap in experiencing Sitio Remedios. Good thing you experienced what is like to be in Colonial Filipinas. It was really an experience to behold how people lived in comfort at those times, except maybe for the air conditioning accomodations.
